When should I have my trial?
I recommend scheduling your bridal makeup trial 1–3 months before the big day. It’s a great idea to align it with your hair trial, engagement shoot, dress fitting, or hens party—perfect for making the most of your glam.
Where are you located?
I am based in East Auckland, The exact address will be provided to you prior to your appointment. However, I am mobile for bookings and happy to travel if needed! Travel fees apply depending on the distance,
How long does a makeup application take?
Typically, application per person takes around 45–60 minutes. For bridal looks, allow 1–1.5 hours to ensure everything is perfect and polished.
Do you offer hair styling as well?
My expertise is makeup artistry only. However, I offer simple soft waves or hair straightening. Anything more extensive (up dos, braids, styling) you would have to consult a professional hairstylist. I have worked with some incredible hairstylists and am happy to recommend someone upon request.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Please arrive with clean, moisturised skin. SPF is also fine. If possible, gently exfoliate the night before and avoid using any new products that might cause irritation. For best results, come makeup-free and bring inspiration photos if you have a specific look in mind.
Do you do makeup for all skin tones and skin types?
Yes! I have experience working with a wide range of skin tones and skin types. My kit is inclusive, and I’m confident in creating beautiful looks for everyone.
Can you stay for touch-ups throughout the day?
Yes! I offer touch-up packages and half- or full-day bookings if you'd like me to stay on-site for photos, ceremony changes, or evening looks.
What happens if I have a skin concern or allergy?
Please let me know in advance if you have any sensitivities, allergies, or specific skincare concerns. I’ll adapt the products used to ensure your comfort and safety.
What if I need to reschedule my trial or booking?
Life happens! I’ll do my best to accommodate reschedules with advance notice. Just get in touch as early as you can to find a new time that works.
Do you offer early morning appointments?
Yes, I do! Early starts are common for weddings and special events. Bookings before 8am will incur an early call-out fee of $40,
How many people can you do makeup for on the day?
I can comfortably do a maximum of 5 people on my own with reasonable time allocated. For larger groups or tight timelines, I suggest hiring a secondary artist.
What if I cry on the day? Will the makeup last?
Yes! I use waterproof products and setting techniques that are designed to hold up against happy tears, hugs, and even a bit of dancing. I’ll also show you how to dab, not wipe, if you do get emotional.
Do I need to get my eyebrows or upper lip threaded/waxed before the appointment?
While it’s not required, freshly groomed brows and smooth skin can help create the cleanest, most polished makeup look. If you plan to wax or thread, do it at least 48 hours before to avoid irritation.
I have a spray tan booked - should I have that before or after my trial?
If you're planning to tan for your wedding day, it’s best to have a spray tan before your trial too. That way, we can match your complexion more accurately and avoid any surprises on the day.
Can you help with applying false lashes or do I need to bring my own?
Lashes are included with every booking unless otherwise noted. I have a variety of styles from natural to full glam. If you have a personal favorite pair, you're welcome to bring them!
Can I change my look on the wedding day from what we did in the trial?
Yes, but let’s discuss any major changes in advance to ensure we have enough time and the right products on the day.
